The 2020 IEEE Radar Conference is pleased to invite submissions of demonstration proposals for sessions where researchers from academia and industry can demonstrate real-world prototypes of innovative radar systems, subsystems, novel hardware components, and/or novel radar signal processing solutions.
Demo sessions are aimed at strengthening the interaction between academic and industrial professionals by offering an exciting opportunity for participants to demonstrate their state-of-the-art results and discuss the practical aspects of emerging radar signal processing algorithms and implementations with a wide audience. Demonstrations are expected to be attractive, interesting and innovative and should appeal to the larger radar community.
Demos related to all technical areas of the 2020 IEEE Radar Conference indicated in the Call for Papers are encouraged for submission.
Demo Sessions will take place in the exhibition hall concurrently with poster sessions and coffee breaks to maximise the level of interaction between participants and visibility. All demonstrations will be accompanied by a poster summarising the demonstration aims and the key scientific and technical contributions.
Demo proposals will be selected on the basis of (1) novelty and originality of the underlying research, (2) technical and presentation quality and (3) the application attractiveness and timeliness. Proposals of commercial product demonstrations will not be considered for demo sessions and all commercial exhibition enquiries can be emailed to the conference General co-chairs.
The deadline for submission of demo proposals is 30 June 2020. Proposals are to be submitted in the form of short papers via the Demonstration track on the conference submission website. The max length of a demo proposal is 3 pages and the submission template is available for download here (Word) and here (Latex).
Notifications of acceptance of demo proposals will be sent on 10 July 2020. Accepted demo proposals will be included in the conference proceedings.
Each accepted Demo should be covered by at least one full registration.
Space Allocation and Logistics.
Each demonstration will be allocated a 2m x 2m space, a table, a poster board (portrait A0 max size) and a power socket. Internet access will be available via the conference Wi-Fi connection. All other equipment/components must be brought by the presenters. Authors are responsible for shipping costs to and from the conference, for the care and safety of their demonstration equipment and for their demo setup and takedown. In order to present a demonstration, at least one of the authors must be registered for the conference.
